Via automation platform

Housecall Pro and HubSpot

No native integration. Connected through an automation platform, usually to push new customers or jobs into the CRM.

What the connection does

What catches people out

Two systems, two definitions of a customer

Housecall Pro organises around jobs at addresses; a CRM organises around contacts and deals. One property with two owners over time, or one owner with three properties, maps badly in both directions. Decide which system owns identity before you sync anything.

Duplicates transfer, and multiply

If the same customer exists three times in Housecall Pro, an automation faithfully creates three contacts. Cleaning the source first is much cheaper than cleaning both systems afterwards.

What the integration does not do

Finding the duplicates before you sync is the highest-value thing you can do here. Matching on email, address and phone rather than name catches many times more of them.

The practical API guide covers the behaviour that trips up anything talking to Housecall Pro directly, and the free MCP handles it for you if you would rather not.

Assembled from Housecall Pro's own documentation and public sources rather than a live test of this particular integration. Labelled as such rather than presented as a check that was not run. Corrections to hello@hcpapi.com are welcome and get acted on.
